Where oh Where

I'm in a dilemma.

Certain things you value are kept in safe keeping.
The problem with me is, it is kept so safe that i can't find them anymore! Even after searching through all the usual spots. Hmmm

This is a conundrum indeed. How do you look for something that you yourself have hidden and can't remember where?

Tanya pada laci, nampakkah CD-cd ku,
nanti laci jawap, awak letak di meja
tanya sama meja, mana cd ku,
nanti meja jawap, mana aku tahu

Sigh...

Here's the actual lyrics to the song i've been singing ridiculously while looking for my stuff.

"Tanya pada pokok, apa sebab goyang
nanti jawab pokok angin yang goncang
tanya sama langit, apa sebab hujan
nanti jawab langit, tanya lah awan

Awan nanti kata, aku kandung air
sampai tempat sejuk, aku pun cair
tengok dalam air, nampak bayang-bayang
campak satu batu, bayang pun hilang

Tanya sama hati, apa asal sayang
apakah tandanya nampak di pandang
kumbang rayu bunga
bulan dan bintangnya
punya tanda-tanda hubungan mesra

Tanya sama hati
pernahkah merindu
ingat masa lena apa mimpimu
masa berjauhan
apa nan dikenang
bila difahamkan itulah sayang

Jikalau tidak kerana sayang
kuntuman kasih tak mungkin kembang
andainya jemu mengganti rindu
jambangan mesra tentulah layu

Tanya sama hati
pernahkah merindu
ingat masa lena apa mimpimu
masa berjauhan
apa nan dikenang
bila difahamkan itulah sayang
itulah sayang..."

P Ramlee and Normadiah

While searching for the video for this, i finally found my favourite song by P Ramlee that i have been searching for ages, "Tunggu Sekejap" in Sarjan Hassan. This song have been in my favourite lovesong playlist since i don't know when, but it has always been in my mind since i can remember. Only recently i know it was from P Ramlee and the movie Sarjan Hassan. Youtube video doesn't feature the scene that i remembered, heck. i remembered a girl singing it from the windowsill of her wooden house and as she sings, the scene shifted from her being a young girl into a young lady, singing the same song but with a different tune. How am i to know it was from a P Ramlee movie if i only remembered the girl.

If you are well acquainted with me, i am sure there are times when someone is about the leave i would suddenly belt "Jangaaannn pulangggg, jangan tinggalkan daku sorang, tungguuuuu sekejappp" out. I blame the song that won't leave my head, EVER.

If only i could remember the location of my safe keeping spot as well as the Sarjan Hassan scene.

This is your empress speaking

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Ye keeerr????
From now on, thou shalt call me, Your Majesty!

You may now bow and kiss my shoes. Hail me hail me!

Benazir Bhutto Assassinated

Breaking news: Benazir Bhutto was assassinated today (27 December 2007). She was pronounce dead at 6.16 pm Pakistan local time (1.16am Malaysian time, 28 December 2007).

She knew it was coming. Attempts were made and finally, they (who opposed her) were successful in assassinating the two time Prime Minister of Pakistan by sending in a suicide bomber who claimed another 22 innocent lives (as reported by CNN.com). I believe (speculating) that it is by the same group that attempted to assassinate her in October. Missing their target then, they killed 136 innocent people instead. However one disagree to another person's view or disagree with the way their lives are being governed, I strongly condemn the use of violence that lead to loss of lives, especially those who were just there because they are taking a stand to what they believe in with no intentions for violence, nor with expectations of violence to come. Act of violence will be automatically reciprocated with other acts of violence, it is a circle that one find hard to stop. For the act of violence that killed her and others that supported her, i am truly saddened and grief for Pakistan.

On another note,

I am sure American media and politicians are having a field day with this as any act of violence in Asian or Middle East countries somehow reaffirm their need to establish the American way of democracy around the world despite the idiosyncrasies of cultures and customs in different countries, and more so will they maintain their stand against terrorism (especially Middle Eastern terrorists because its the in thing.) and the need to strengthen their foreign policies. I bet my durians that all American's Presidental candidates will talk about this tragic news as an issue in THEIR political campaign to sway American voters their way, somehow or rather. It is not to grief on the loss of one of the world current memorable politician and worry about Pakistan's future. But that is only my two cents worth.

There goes my stand against writing anything political. Oh well, back to bimbonic report.

Durian is the common people's caviar.

Either you like durian and/or caviar or you don't. If you don't like it, don't eat it and eat what you like instead. And if you find other's who don't like durian too and like what you eat, be friends, talk about it, petition to get it banned in areas frequent by you and the majority are like you ie banned in your house yet accept that your next door neighbour likes durian and there is nothing you can do to stop your neighbour from eating durians!

Oh! Happy time

I got my sweet tender succulent kisses.
Oh! i am so high on durian right now! i can't stop smiling. Contented i am.

I am soooo easily pleased sometimes.

Signs of Love #155

He called me, "b*tch!"

And i replied, "assh*le!"

And then we laughed

And then we hugged

And then he said "i love you. we are so weird"

And then i said "i love you too"

And then he said while laughing "if there are people who are looking at us now, they must think we're crazy."

It is not what was said, its the way you say it.

That is amongst the reason how i know he is the one for me.

Although i don't really recommend you start calling your partner "yo b*tch!" or "hei arse!" even to test the water. We are weird, you dont have to try to be like us because you might end up as real b*tches and assh*les.

Proclaimer: I am not responsible for any loss/broken/damaged of body organs inc. hearts and bruised skin, limbs and bones; physically, mentally nor mentally. Proceed at your own risk.

Oh my sweet and tender love

How does one describe the smell of durian?

Sweat drenched socks?
Pungent onions?
A dump site on a very warm day?
All of the above?

Most times, you smell it before you see it as its odour can be detected metres away, especially on a hot day. Its smell is definitely unique and cannot be confused with no other. .

I, would describe it as ...

rich, savoury slightly sweet odour that makes my mouth water at the mere sniff of it. I can taste it it my mouth, yummy, creamy, succulent durian. . Yes, classical conditioning at work. I am one of Pavlov's dog, completely Pavlovised, automatically salivate at the mere sight of durian stalls by the roadside or a hint of its oh so strong sweet smell.

Obviously, i LOVE durians.

Due to its smell that can be overpowering to some and the creamy texture of its pulp, durian is a required taste. Its either you love it, or you hate it. If you hate it, too bad, gimme your share. Because to me, the flavour of its creamy, tender, pale to rich yellow coloured pulp is divine!

It is like heaven! To enter heaven, one must go through many obstacles in life, mostly difficult and require patience and acts of faith. But once you're in, you never want to leave, you never know true joy and happiness before it, it is the ultimate reward. Very very much like durians. Durian, with its sharp thorns and thick husk, is difficult to open and require a well oiled technique to open it but the taste of its pulp is worth every marks on your hands, left by the thorns and the offensive smell turns to delight and sweetness you cannot describe.

A 17th century British naturalist (geographer, anthropologist, biologist and explorer) described it best;
"The five cells are silky-white within, and are filled with a mass of firm, cream-coloured pulp, containing about three seeds each. This pulp is the eatable part, and its consistence and flavour are indescribable. A rich custard highly flavoured with almonds gives the best general idea of it, but there are occasional wafts of flavour that call to mind cream-cheese, onion-sauce, sherry-wine, and other incongruous dishes. Then there is a rich glutinous smoothness in the pulp which nothing else possesses, but which adds to its delicacy. It is neither acid nor sweet nor juicy; yet it wants neither of these qualities, for it is in itself perfect. It produces no nausea or other bad effect, and the more you eat of it the less you feel inclined to stop. In fact, to eat Durians is a new sensation worth a voyage to the East to experience. ... as producing a food of the most exquisite flavour it is unsurpassed."

Why am i writing all this?

because i just saw a durian stall by the roadside at Hartamas Square but i had no money to buy any, even one fruit or a pulp. So i shall salivate and wait till tomorrow until i can drag my father to buy a dozen or more to satisfy my craving of sweet, tender durian.

But until then, i can only imagine the taste of it wrapped on my tongue, lingers in my mouth and breathe the smell on to others!

OH, I CANT WAIT! yummyummyyummy!

Effects of Zombies

The effect of watching too many zombie movies will not strike you right after watching it. That's just paranoia. Well that is one of the effect but its not the worse.

The worse, for me, is when you haven't been watching the latest (or the first of sequels) zombie movies for awhile (that means a few weeks coz lets face it, zombie movies are everywhere lately).

When your paranoia has gone and you think the world is all soft and cuddly and kittens and puppies roll around in Hallmark cuteness, and maybe contributed by the feeling of oh-so-lovely-optimistic-world-is-happy-happy-place-there-is-no-wrong due to watching Enchanted and with LingLing making "i cant believe im watching this" face and "She's singing!" "Dont you DARE sing like that!" and "YOU made me watch cartoon! DISNEY cartoon!" remarks throughout the movie, THEN that is when the effect of watching zombie movies hit you. in your sleep. in your nightmare.

At least Enchanted helped a bit due to the Disney connection.

My nightmare had a themepark. It was a very scary blood sucking flesh eating zombie themepark. Yet it was a themepark nontheless. Enter at your own risk, and you must be this height to enter.

I dont know what is scarier, the nightmare or my very vivid imagination.

and oh. the very next day, i was scheduled to do my engagement dress. Could there be a relation?

ps: i am now on DeviantArt@ dayangjuita.deviantart.com where selected photos are chosen to be on display for artist everywhere. This is not where fotopages freaks and fans go. and i am glad.

*as i was browsing for my daily laughs @[xkcd.com]

I always do this and get asked the same question, when the answer is very much obvious ie: Spinning. Next time Lingling ask me "what are you doing?" as he watch me going round and round and round, i'll answer this, i promise.

.
..
...

providing i remember my own name first and foremost as my brain mucus and other eww inspiring stuff stir and spin around like drained cabbages in that empty space up there.

1 out of 3 to pure happiness

I.am.officially.not.single.seriously? seriously!?!
oh!my!God!

I've been a busy bee last week but the highlight of the week have a lot to do with this ring.
The merisik is done, two more steps to go before I am 100% his! I am pre-booked! yay!!

but as my mom said to me after his parents left, "dah, jangan cari boyfriend lain dah". dangit!

Ever since Lingling asked my dad if it would be okay for his parents to come over my house to meet my parents, my parents have been on the edge.

I was watching Fred Claus on friday, after i came back from Langkawi. While i was watching the movie, "dingdong!" softly came the sound of a doorbell, and promptly after, my mother's head poked out of her room,

"what was that?" she asked and she paused, looked at our blank faces for answers. Then her body followed her head out,

"i heard doorbell. was that the doorbell? sapa datang?", pause again, like a predator sniffing the air to pinpoint their prey, then she shuffled her way downstairs, all the while looking confused and asking "sapa tuuuu, sapa tuuuu".

She came back up and shuffled her way back into her bedroom, all the while muttering "i thought i heard doorbell...hmmm".

My sister and i shrug it off and continued watching the movie.

"Dingdong!" slightly louder then before.

This time i know where it came from. and i waited. and i waited. "hmm maybe she didnt hear it this time"

10 seconds passed.

OUT came the head poking out from her bedroom door!

"Ha! there it is again!", she said while looking at us excitedly.

"Dengar tak?" she asked while she shuffled her body out and stood in the family hall with her right ear turned upward, waiting for Godknowswhat but i think for a sound, any sound. She stood there listening for a few seconds before she move to stand near the stairs, looking down at the main entrance, "takda apa pun. iskh".

My sister and I were trying not to laugh. She saw our faces, and she smiled, "takda eh? no doorbell eh?" and she walked back into her room. We didn't have the heart to tell her that the sound came from the movie. it was a movie doorbells.

Ah well...parents anxiety and all is over. FOR NOW!

Two more steps baby, two more momentous steps, and lots and lots more panic, anxiety and jumpingjumping of excitement and nervousness to come.
